Like so many other successful breeder/exhibitors Sharon was soon being asked to judge – firstly the German Wirehaired Pointers and Cocker Spaniels and then other breeds that Sharon specifically showed an interest in. To this day Sharon only ever judges breeds that she has an interest in and will often decline a judging appointment if she feels she hasn’t enough interest in the breed to accept the appointment.
Sharon’s first judging appointment was for German Wirehaired Pointers at Coombe Abbey for Coventry Gundog on 17th October 1982 and then she judged at National Gundog Championship show (No CC’s) 23rd November 1986 which was the second of the National Gundog Championship shows held each year and the first year the breed gained their Championship Status.
In 1989 Sharon judged the GWPC Championship Show at Towcester – her first ever CC appointment. Since then Sharon has completed the original JDP Gundog Group Breed Seminars gaining credit in all the breeds that she attended.
Sharon is now approved to judge the following breeds here in the UK
