Sharon bred her first litter as a child helped all the way by her mother, Barbara. In essence, Barbara mentored Sharon in the world of dog shows, exhibiting, breeding, rearing and conditioning puppies and adults. From initial planning of breeding, discussing the suitability of the stud dog, evaluating health test results through to the actual art of successful mating. Help can be given with regards to feeding and exercise for the prospective mum to be through to assisting on the whelping day either in person or via video link. Sharon found this “mentoring” so helpful that she now offers the same support and advice that her Mum used to do to those who feel they too could benefit from this unique support.
Continued advice can be given to help start weaning puppies at the right time, with the right puppy food and we can put together a program to aid stimulation and socialisation for the puppies whilst still in the nest.
Once the puppies are of an age to be assessed we can come along and assess your litter a view to finding the most correct puppy for the breeder to retain Many breeders find this quite a stressful time of rearing puppies as they find their hearts rule their heads and sometimes succumb to such an agonising situation. Sharon can come along and assess your puppies at 7 to 7.5 wks. old and leave you with a written assessment of your puppies’ conformation, movement, character seen from an independent experienced breeder/exhibitor/judge. This does not breed-specific but will be generic assessment terms for the breeder to then use to evaluate what traits are more typical and useful to complement their own bloodlines and future breeding and showing goals
Maybe you are looking for a new puppy – one to show or to have a future brood bitch or just as a well-natured companion. Sharon can help you find reputable breeders of the breed of your choice and arrange an introduction to them so you can safely discuss your requirements and purchase your new canine family member.
